Right of Withdrawal — Exemption for Drinks

Under Danish law (§ 18(2) of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act, implementing the EU Consumer Rights Directive), consumers ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal on distance purchases. However, this right does not apply to the delivery of food, drinks, or other goods intended for everyday consumption in the household, delivered as part of frequent and regular deliveries. This exemption also generally applies to sealed alcoholic beverages, given their nature as perishable and consumable goods whose value depends on storage conditions that cannot be verified once out of our control.

For this reason, once an order of alcoholic beverages or other drinks has been dispatched, we do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for change of mind.

Your Statutory Rights Are Not Affected

This policy does not limit your rights under the Danish Sale of Goods Act (Købeloven), which cannot be waived or reduced by agreement:

• 2-year right of complaint (reklamationsret). If a product is faulty or defective — for example, contaminated, corked, or otherwise not as described — at the time of delivery, you have the right to a repair, replacement, refund, or price reduction, for up to two years from purchase.
• Damaged in transit. If your order arrives broken, leaking, or visibly damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging so we can arrange a replacement or refund.
• Wrong item received. If we sent you the wrong product, we will correct this at no cost to you, including arranging collection of the incorrect item if needed.

To make a complaint, contact us at tricks@birdcph.dk with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos where relevant. We aim to respond within a reasonable time and no later than 14–30 days.

Cancellations Before Dispatch

You may cancel your order free of charge at any time before it has been packed for shipping. Once your order has been dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled, in line with the exemption described above.

Age Verification

By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, the legal age for purchasing alcohol in Denmark. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where age cannot be verified.

Complaints and Dispute Resolution

If you are unhappy with how we've handled a complaint, you may contact the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrugerklagenævnet), operated by Nævnenes Hus, or the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority (Konkurrence- og Forbrugerstyrelsen) for guidance. If you are an EU resident, you may also use the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
